So, what happens if I have to cancel theatre tickets due to members of my group catching Covid-19?
The rules vary from one production to another, but most theatres are working under the same guidelines.
If individuals within your group test positive for Covid-19, and therefore have to isolate, they cannot travel. As long as the theatre receives at least 48 hours' notice you should be able to get a refund on the affected tickets.
If you want to exchange tickets, most shows should allow you to exchange a small group, say 10 tickets, for another performance, rather than just the one or two tickets for the affected members of the group.
All decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, and the decision of the theatre box office is final.
We therefore ask for at least 52 hours' notice (two and a half days), to ensure we have enough time to process everything before the trip takes place.
Other aspects of your trip may have different cancellation policies, and we would need to check with each supplier involved in your trip - coaches, hostels, restaurants, attractions, etc. If you are booking a package of activities for your group we strongly recommend you find single trip group travel insurance to protect your whole group should it have to be cancelled due to COVID-19.
