COVID-19 Concerns

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

During these difficult times, the safety of our clients and staff is our highest priority. Theatre Workout is closely monitoring the developments of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and will continue to follow the advice of BETA (British Education Travel Association) who are working with Government and travel bodies at this time. Theatre Workout is currently open and all activities are continuing to operate as planned. We will update clients should anything change.

We encourage everyone to take necessary and precautionary measures in line with the advice of the World Health Organisation, and we are working with our studios and other partner venues to ensure these standards are kept to.

For an unsubsidised arts education organisation such as Theatre Workout, these are unprecedented and worrying times and we are working on a business continuation strategy.

If you have any kind of reservation with Theatre Workout for workshops or travel packages these can be cancelled and rearranged without charge at any time before payment is made - just keep us informed so we can liaise with our partners and suppliers.

If your workshop or course booking has been paid for we are unable to cancel it as per our usual terms and conditions. While we are taking precautions and are advising staff and clients to review official health advice, we are unable to cancel paid bookings, or those which have been confirmed on account.

If you have booked and paid for any third-party activities, such as travel, accommodation, meals, attractions, etc. it may be possible to obtain partial refunds or to rearrange bookings for alternative dates on request. This will be subject to the terms, conditions and the discretion of the service provider and their decision is final. Cancellation or rearrangement fees may apply. Should you wish to monitor the situation please visit www.gov.uk/government/organisations/public-health-england or https://www.betauk.com/coronavirus/. If you feel ill, you are encouraged to visit https://111.nhs.uk/service/covid-19 or call 111 for advice. If you wish to discuss concerns regarding your forthcoming trip please contact us at your earliest convenience or consult your insurance provider.

Ammendment (26/03/2020)

Due to the government's decision to close schools on Friday on Friday 20th March 2020, and impose social distancing restrictions from Monday 23rd March 2020, Theatre Workout is currently unable to deliver any workshops or other services. At present our programmes are suspended until Sunday 26th April 2020 and we are liaising with partners and suppliers, some of whom may be suspended until a later date.

This decision is out of the control of Theatre Workout.

Any booking cancelled by clients before the announcement to close schools will be treated as per our usual terms and conditions.

Any booking cancelled due to UK Government restrictions from Monday 23rd March will be offered a credit note towards a replacement workshop or trip for a later date, minus any expenses and incurred by Theatre Workout for work carried out as per the agreement for that trip.

Any booking cancelled by a client for a date beyond 26th April 2020 will be treated as per our usual terms and conditions unless UK Government restrictions are extended.

Please contact Theatre Workout about your booking if you have any questions.
