Theatre Workout Box Office

Theatre Workout is committed to making theatre accessible to schools because we believe in the positive impact it has on children and young people.

Schools can save up to 75% on West End tickets, but shows at regional theatres can be far more affordable, so we're expanding our listings to include theatres outside of London.

To support this work, we're developing practitioner hubs across the UK to make outreach workshops more accessible, more affordable, and help schools provide life-changing theatre experiences for their students.

Most West End theatres have three to four levels arranged in the following order:

OS: Orchestra Stalls

DC: Dress Circle, sometimes called the Royal Circle (RC)

GC: Grand Circle, sometimes called the Upper Circle (UC)

Bal: Balcony, the top level.

Accessible Seating:

If you require wheelchair access please notify us at the time of booking as not all seats are accessible. If you or a guest has to stay in a wheelchair, seats may need to be removed, otherwise you can transfer into a theatre seat and have your wheelchair brought back to you if you need it in the interval. Accessible seats are usually at street level, which is often the Stalls or Dress Circle, which varies from one theatre to another. Most theatres do not have elevators. Some of the older theatres have very little accessible seating.

General Advice:

Groups should arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the performance. Latecomers may be asked to wait until an appropriate point in the performance to be seated, or denied access, at the discretion of the theatre management. Filming or photography is not permitted. Mobile phones should be turned off. Any disruptive behaviour may result in individuals, or the whole group, being ejected from the auditorium. If you leave the auditorium for any reason, Front of House staff may ask you to wait until an appropriate time before being readmitted.

Bookings:

Prices include all booking fees and theatre restoration levies, and are inclusive of VAT and postage. If booking a workshop with your tickets, a £1 per person discount is offered on workshop prices. Once paid, no refunds or exchanges are permitted without the consent of the theatre management. Full terms and conditions can be found here.

Exclusion Dates:

Popular exclusion dates include all school and public holidays. Most shows do not offer discounts 23 - 27 October 2023, 21 December 2023 - 3 January 2024, 12-16 February 2024, 29 March-12 April 2024, 27-31 May 2024, or 22 July-4 September 2024, but this varies from one show to another.
